Looking Back at Weddings Past
I finally had to make the big decision. For years I have offered proof albums through my studio which I really loved to make for clients. I loved them because of their simplicity, practicality and elegance. Wedding couples would get hundreds of images in one or two albums and you really would get a sense of the whole documentary feeling of the day. The wedding couple, the guests, the family, the details and all the behind the scenes too boot. Things the couple would never even know were happening. The big digital enlargement albums, which I also love while epic and cinematic in scale just don’t have room to carry the missed moments. But as times have changed and quality digital printing has become more affordable the small 4×6 wedding albums simply don’t look as exciting. So now I finally made the decision to retire the proof albums from my studio permanently. But before they go for ever I decided to look back at one of them which was shot with Kodak CN 400 color negative film. Here are some of the images from that wonderful day. The place holder from the film creates the sloppy border look which I think is delicious!
